How much can a painter explain without a face that will direct the eyes of the beholder?

This is one of the few "van Steen´s" that don't feature a face... yet still, it's instantly recognizable that this painting can only have been made by me.
The lips, neck, arms hands have that typical stylized flow that reminds us of the Art Nouveau era, with their prominent outlines and soft inner transitions of colorings.

This particular surrealistic painting glamours the viewer with a lot of poetry,
yet with very little information.
I've called her The Alquimista,
for I feel this lady is capable of transforming stone into pure gold.
- maybe even stone hearts into pure golden hearts? -
Some of the decorative little squares on the background are guilded,
giving an even more luscious look to this painting.

By depicting evocative portraits of the female universe, my art celebrates and empowers women in all their deepness and swing.

In my paintings, I let the cyclic inner feminine world of emotions, feelings and sensations be carried by the vehicles of the outer world: colors, lines and beauty.
You see these ingredients come back over and over in my paintings.
Some combinations are expressive and deep, others more subtle,
yet all the images are created with well balanced lines, colors and forms that result so joyous to the soul.

My paintings are specifically designed to transform the vibes of any room into radiant harmony with an unmistakably personal touch.

Usually I am not a fan of frames, that's why I always paint the flanks of the artworks as well.
Due to the quite small size of the painting, I decided to frame it with a black frame.
Box frames are my favorites, they leave a bit of a gap between the canvas and the frame. This gives the painting space to be.
So that's the type of frame I have used,
and it really makes the painting and it's colors pop.

You will get a certificate of authenticity with this painting.
The canvas is signed on the front and on the back as well, along with the title and the year of creation.

Well, that is silly me. Definitely not flawless, ...which is ok.
ps2: in February 2022 I decided the gold leaf would definitely have the desired result,
so I added it and deleted the old photos.
