Original artwork description:

A textural impressionist Scottish landscape painting of the Red Cuillin mountains on the Isle of Skye in the highlands of Scotland. Painted in muted autumnal colours of late autumn, with the sun shining on the bracken covered moorlands with a small burn and waterfall flowing through it with the peaks of the Red Cuillin mountains in a cooler blue in the distance. This painting was inspired by my many camping and climbing trips to this area of Skye in my youth, where I spent many nights under canvas in these peaceful and remote areas of wild hills and moors. In this painting I hope to have captured some of the atmosphere and mood of these rare sunny days.

Painted with a palette knife and fingers, using quality artists acrylics on a square format 22 3/4" x 22 3/4" (58 x 58cm) lightly textured canvas on board, framed in a modern contemporary square profile white limewash frame, with cord ready to hang.
