Original artwork description:

This painting is about recovery. We are all recovering from something. I chose a woman to symbolize us - human beings. We dance and think we are happy and well adjusted but beneath our appearance we hide our true selves. The butterfly/woman figure in white symbolizes our recovery/admission that we have "issues". Once we have admitted to our selves that things are not quite right we transform ourselves into what we truly are and that admission shatters the illusionary world we have been living in.
