Cute, tiny painting made on 300 gsm 50% cotton Fabriano paper with watercolours, acrylics and pencil. The artwork is framed with a wooden vintage gold and brown ornate frame: my grandma loved to hang in her living room many of similar tiny paintings with wooden frames, but often they represented landscapes, puppies, mountain villages etc.
Here we have two girls ready for the ball! I love their crocheted dresses! They'll made everyone fall in love in the ballroom :-). But wait! What is the blackbird doing? Maybe it's their arbiter elegantiarum. I've ever thought that male blackbirds are really elegant, with their black feathers and their bright yellow beak! And you?
PLEASE NOTE: the frame is a vintage item, so little signs of use are present, anyway it's in excellent vintage conditions. I needed a vintage item to give to this little painting the idea of a grandma living room style ;-)!
IMPORTANT: I have glued the paper on a thick MDF board stapled directly on the frame. Don't try to remove the artwork from its MDF support, or you'll tear it up. The frame has to be considered as part of the artwork. The frame had no glass, so I protected the painting with a layer of acrylic matt varnish.
My artworks are carefully packed and shipped worldwide via Poste Italiane.
