One of the reasons I chose this image of a hand is because it's not immediately clear what it is. As you look at the painting, it appears, reaching down the canvas. Many layers of thick paint are added before the final stencil, building up a rough textured surface. This is to recreate a concrete like feel. The colours are deep with a wash of white acrylic and spray on top. The drips of white paint add to the movement of the hand reaching down. This painting also has a graphic novel, comic feel.

spray Paint and Acrylic on deep edge canvas.
