Landscape photograph of Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland, showing the south peninsula of the island photographed from Church Bay.
This fine art photograph was taken in September 2015 of the sun lighting only a section of the sky, with its warm glow reflecting in a rock pool, resulting in a painterly scene akin to that of Constable or Turner.
It took two hours to get this shot, after sitting on a rocky coastal area and watching two vista's for the best light and cloud cover. It was only after taking my mages into my computer, and editing their look, that this image came into it's own. Standing head and shoulders above all but one of the shots I took on Rathlin during my three day trip to this treasure of a place, off the NE coast of Northern Ireland.
