Artwork description:

Mid-morning, Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania. On this windless, warm morning, I parked my car next to a small pool that hippos frequent. It was quiet, the air was still and the mood was right for a cup of tea. But then I noticed the surface of the water agitate and presently two hippos broke the surface, locked in a hippo embrace so to speak. As I watched their interaction, I realised that the male female couple were engaged in a courtship ritual. Perhaps there was an opportunity to photograph synchrony of souls. I chose the background, checked and adjusted the settings on my camera equipment, and waited for the heightened moment of inseparability.

This Giclee print is a colour print made on hannemuhle photo rag 308 gsm paper which has a very smooth surface. (Giclee describes a fine art printing process that combines pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper). My Giclee prints have an extremely wide tonal range and colour gamut.

Options: The print can also be made on C-Type Paper (matt or gloss), or C-Type Metallic/Velvet, or Giclee Canvas. It can also be printed at different sizes.
