Artist's description:

The title comes from a poet speaking about the common building blocks that the Universe shares among the different varieties of matter. I am inspired when I think about broad conceptions we share about "how" the world is. This painting is suggesting that we share a kind of matter that is sacred.
I've been using precious metals for 10 years. The 3 circles were first gilded with 23k gold and then sealed. Very thing, luminous oil paint was added. The work is created on hand-made Japanese paper that I purchased on a recent trip to that country. I am interested in the dialogue that the pattern of the paper sets up with the paint - matter in different forms speaking to matter.

Materials used:

oil paint and 23k gold
