Original artwork description:

Textured semi-abstract rendering of a rainy day in Sussex. This work was achieved by using heavy impasto in places and descending vertical brushstrokes for the rain. The land itself is inspired by French impressionism although the sky is drawn more from Turner. The painting is a deep, box frame canvas and so does not require framing.
