Artist's description:

To see the changing seasons and experience the vagaries of nature is something which has inspired much of my art. This oil painting captures the harsh reality of a stormy and rain-filled day; the hills blue with water and reflected light whilst muddy foreground scales into the landscape.

An original one-off landscape painted in oil describing the visceral effect of a new, colder season as it settles into the hills.

I use a selection of tubed oil paints on primed stretched canvas, (300 g / m2 medium grain) which has been built up and deconstructed to allow layers to show just as in the landscape itself.
