Inspired by the Rain Project, this gem started with a scribbly underpainting, of reds, black, yellows, greens, then I continued with medium infused oil paint sliding whites, creams, blues, green sea glass colors, smearing and scratching off to reveal the underpainting in areas, playing in the paint to see what would appear; aha ! a lighthouse, birds, buildings, rocks, what do you see? There are intriguing subtleties in this piece which I love and never tire of, in a work of impressionism like this. Pasty build up of oils, bits peeking through from the underpainting, make this intimate gem something you will treasure. The additional images are so you can see the texture, and color better, also my messy thumb, palettes and garden bench, haha.
