Artist's description:

From my recent stARTup Art Fair show, 'You Are Loved'.

Quinn was painted in response to an article about a young woman turned away from school for wearing her hair natural. Each portrait in this series is about finding acceptance and beauty in what society may consider a negative. You are beautiful and you are loved Quinn.

These fictionalized portraits are pieced together to create someone we all know. It could be your neighbor, friend, sister, child, me or you… belittled, told we were less than, ostracized for our differences. In this oversaturated world where we are told who to be, how to look, what to do, these portraits are here to tell you that you can just be you. You is enough. You are worthy. You are loved.
