Artist's description:

"Quiet Company"

With our constant need for attention, approval, observation by others, we continue to seek out our validation in drawing an image about ourselves from the observation of others.
Everything in this world requires some form of attention in order to exist. If not a single person can perceive something to be something, then it doesn't exist in our reality. Only when a person can see something, have knowledge or wisdom of it, can he be able to perceive it to be real and an extension of themselves.
This is a natural response from us to try and seek the energy which comes with being and feeling alive, by achieving it through the focus of someone else's reality. The universe is built to observe itself. All the information always returns back to a single point in order to continue forward and be able to adapt or grow with the new information acquired. By having this built in into every aspect of our life, that in order for something to be true, to exist, you must be able to perceive it, have knowledge of it.
By attaining the focus from others, we get a natural rush of being alive, and many of us get stuck on that phase of life. Seeking the approval of others, fishing for attention, attempting to remain noticed all drive to misery.
Your actions come from a place of pleasing others rather than yourself. If all your thoughts and motivations come from the pleasure of others, you never truly develop a personality bevies you are nothing but a combination of what others want you to be.
By getting into your mind, giving yourself the ability to think YOUR thoughts, your emotion, your beliefs and misbeliefs, joys and sorrows, confidence and insecurities and give you the ability to see what feels good and what doesn't. With each and every single one of them you clear up, let go of the ones you don't want to reoccur, giving you the power of choice over what you want to reoccur in your mind, your thoughts, your focus hence your day to day reality.
When we live through the eyes of another, we have to conform to an ever unpredictable world, one that has no clear answer to how you can or cant act, always living in a state of uncertainty, uncomfort , fear. Once you can let go of seeking attention from others and focus on giving yourself the attention, the observation, the focus that you need to exist. If we give our focus toward who WE want to be, not who OTHERS want us to be, we gain the freedom of clarity and purpose, finding your own personal island of paradise.
