Artist's description:

This painting from my "Misunderstood" series, features an image of the beautiful "Queen of the Night" from Mozart's opera, "The Magic Flute."

The white-robed figure is posed falsely as a spiritual protagonist in an erie violet light. The heavy impasto peacock feathers in iridescent gold, blue and green—with an actual rosary—symbolize vision, immortality and religious belief.

Gallery wrapped. Wired and ready to hang.

Materials used:

Metallic with impasto and rosary beads

Queen of the Night or "Astrifiamante"
