This is my tribute to Andy Warhol, one of my favorite artists.

I have a collection of Andy Warhol pins (I've been a fan of his work since I was a girl), and I thought they made a colorful, fun still life. I added some variety-logo pins to add some different colors into the mix.

The Marilyn pin was painted an old gold color with black and a layer of iridescent gold, so it has a lovely shimmer. I like the way the other celebrities seem to interact with her, especially Jackie Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor (whom I've placed near her friend Michael Jackson).

A great deal of effort went into making these well-known images look like they were reproduced on pins, and I gained a deeper appreciation for Warhol's genius as I worked on this.
