Artist's description:

Queen Esther has a choice to go to the king and ask for his help that her people, the Jews now living in captivity under the Persians, would not be slaughtered because of the plot of Haman's evil plot. The king has the power of life and death in his hands could easily decide to take her life for going to him with this request.

There comes a time when we find ourselves at a crossroad. Do we do what we know is right, or do we take the path of least resistance? Our character is revealed in light of adversity. FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS (Esther 4:14) helps us to look at the valiant choice of another person who had to make a tough courageous decision. Our life should not be one primarily in the pursuit of happiness, but should always be identified in righteousness.

God often chooses to use ordinary people like Esther and Mordecai to do extraordinary things. He only requires we trust and obey and leave the outcome to Him. Will you do the right thing or take the easy way out?

Our situation may not involve a life or death decision, but it will reveal our character. Are you willing to say, "If I perish, I perish" (Esther 4:16) no matter what when confronted with right and wrong? Whenever you see yourself in a mirror, reflect on the encouragement of the Scriptures, and the unmistakable hand of God in your life who desires to use you FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.
