Artwork description:

This artwork was based directly on a sketch I did from within the huge crowd during the Rolling Stones 2013 set at Glastonbury, when they headlined on the Pyramid stage. The richly coloured screen prints were crafted later in 2015, using two inks which overlay to create the third mix colour.

The intention is to have captured some of the electric excitement and energy of the event. As with most of my drawings, it serves as an aide memoir for me. In this case it was a joyous occasion, watching the show with a group of friends.

Materials used:

Heavyweight Somerset textured paper, screen printing inks
