First of 2011 batch, for the love of thumbs, big toes and girly curves I give you Pye ‘R’ Squared.
Pye ‘R’ squared by Eddy Crowley
Acrylic on canvas. Size: W=60cm H=80cm
I started this painting in the bottom left corner, I was thinking about David Hockney’s American pool scenes and how he depicted water. From the bottom left to the top left I see as the loading of the operating system on which the floppy disk software can run. The central portion of the painting is illustrative and some what abstract, It is up to the viewer to evolve their own views on it’s content based on their knowledge and experience. The painting then flows to the bottom right corner and flows up abstractly to the conclusion of the piece, pye R squared.
Acrylics, inks on canvas.
