An impressionistic atmospheric and moody Scottish mountain country landscape, inspired by the scenery of the hills and glens of the wild mountain countryside of the highlands of Scotland.
In this painting I have tried to portray the ever changing weather and light of a cloudy day in the hills with a purple tinge to the cloudy misty sky swirling around the mountain tops, surrounded by wild heather moorland hillsides and steep glens filled with fast flowing burns or streams and waterfalls, in this wilderness area of Britain.
Painted in a contemporary style with a palette knife and fingers in muted autumnal colors with touch of purple mauve in the sky and a blue green tinge to the distant hills with the foreground moors in a muted autumnal palette with an atmospheric misty cloudy sky.

Painted using quality artists acrylics on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
