Original artwork description:

Painted on-site at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Features a garden sheltered by a white-washed wood arbor, which is lit by striking highlights and shadows from the afternoon sun. The arbor is surrounded by summer greenery from trees and shrubs, and is accented by a hanging basket covered in white Bacopa flowers. Beneath the arbor is a smartly coordinated garden of late spring/early summer flowers in shades of royal purple, lavender-purple, blue-purple and white, including flowering sage, irises, delphinium, flowering onions and chives. A path runs along the bottom of the landscape, and is lined by blue-grey Lamb's Ears and brilliant green grass.
Painted in oil on canvas. Framed in a 1 inch wide "float" style frame with an antique gold face and black inner and outer edge.
