This is a collaboration with the Italian conceptual artist, Antonella Diana, and has it's origins way back when in the time of colour transparencies.
To start with I took a series of photos on transparency; Antonella picked out the ones she liked the best and then set about transforming them by heating them up, (see the bubbles), scratching them, painting over them etc., etc., in fact doing all the sort of things you should never do to a piece of film!
I then scanned the results and did some digital manipulation of my own. The result is a truly abstract piece of art a million miles away from my normal work, but which I'm very happy to have helped create.
