Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Beautiful oil painting depicting up close the alluring colours of the peacock feathers.
This painting explores further my interest in peacocks, in this painting I have placed the 'eye' of the feather centrally on the canvas as if it's guarding the canvas. Peacocks have been used as a symbolise a guardian or protectors, and are often depicted in the stable of Nativity scenes and guarding the Gates of Paradise. The peacock can eat vemonious snakes without harm, so was seen as a slayer of serpents, the feathers often used as a talisman to ward away witches and sorcerers.
