This is a more unusual figurative work of mine, with the model placed on the far side of the canvas. Her pose and placement begged for a glimpse into her inner vision to be somehow prominent in the space around her. Inspired by an Impressionist, I created bold strokes of the vortex of her thoughts, while working in plein air. The sensations I felt while setting down the background were powerful, sweeping, and full of movement. If you'd like a piece to enliven a particular space in your house, this will definitely do it! I hung it in a blah white stairwell and it definitely set the energy in motion! Her rather peaceful expression, however, tempers the pinwheel of her outer thoughts, so I find the painting energizing, but not too much. Comes with a handmade mahogany frame.
