Artwork description:

I was inspired to make this print by my primrose plant, one of the rare flowers on my balcony in the winter, bringing a sunny friendly face to the grey months of the year.
As well as the cheerful colours, I hope I have captured the energy of the plant, growing and reaching for the sun.
It is also the birth flower associated with February.

This is a 4 colour linocut print with hand finishing in yellow acrylic ink.
It is printed from 3 blocks, by hand with a barren, using Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash Relief Inks on Awagami Silk Pure White Japanese paper.

Edition size 16
Paper size 32 x 32 cm

Please note that this is a hand made product and as such there are very slight differences in the printing and hand colouring of each print, which only adds to the uniqueness of each print.

Please be aware that the colors may differ slightly in real life due to varying computer screen resolutions.
