This part of the Collection 'Selfie Objects of Desire' about the identity of the Artist through Objects with signature by the Artist.
This is a piece of Art. This is a piece of Conceptual Art. This is a ready-made Object. The most famous ready-made is that of 'The Fountain' by Marcel Duchamp. Similarly, 'The Bed' by Tracey Emin is a ready-made object, but has been used by the Artist, and has been re-sold. The Artist typically paints in primary colours. This brush contains colours of Blue, Red & Yellow, forming an Abstract piece of work on the brush. This was a brush used by the Artist to create oil paintings. The Artist prefers to use the range 'Da Vinci' which is nod to Leonardo Da Vinci. This is a used piece of work. This is paint brush, which is an object. Every object has a value. It maybe a new purchase (ie. a brand new car), or used purchase (ie. used car to resale). This paint brush is for re-sale. The artist has signed the work 'Vincent' (forename) with 'Da Vinci' (Surname). On the brush there is fingerprint left when making art, this is also another signature. This work was inspired by the Television programme 'Four Rooms' (UK Version) in which members of the public sell items to art dealers. A set of brushes was sold on there of a well known Artist, for a four figure some. In replica Art Studios of famous Artists at museums, you may find used brushes (objects) on display along side easels and paintings etc., which are not for sale, but they have a value as they are objects, that can be brought or sold (they also have an insurance value). The Artist isn't looking for Four Figures (nod to Four Rooms), just enough to buy a new set of brushes!
This is a one a kind sculpture, as the paint mark as unique. However, it will form a series of brushes for sale.
