Artist's description:

This is a watercolor, charcoal and pencil piece on paper, done from life, portraying a person deep in thought next to a ficus plant. It captures a balance between a figure and a plant, coexisting next to each other. The style evokes the floating world of Ukiyo-E (Japanese wood-block prints of the end of 19th century).

Materials used:

Watercolor, charcoal, pencil
