Prelude - A short piece of music, often the begining of a longer work. This is my prelude to a larger painting called "Foxes Brae" It can be seen as the start of the day, or the beginning of a story. The tree is representative of a beautiful Larch tree that grows near to my studio, I often use this tree in my work as it is such an unusual shape. The composition of this piece is deliberately cropped to suggest a continuation of the story.
This piece comfortable stands alone but could be balanced with Kinetic or could make a big statement with "Foxes Brae Segment 1" as the centrepiece.
Framed with a white slip and bronze effect bevel frame.
Materials used:
canvas bonded to MDF panel, Acrylic and varnish
