The inspiration for this image comes from photographs of young people worshiping in remote Russin villages where barely anything else but nature can occupy their daily activity.
This small hand-pulled print is an etching on two plates in gold, red and black ink. One plate is an aquatint of two figures who pray in the woods. Nature is the place of their worship. I used the soft and hard ground to process this image. The second plate has words of two prayers: The Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary in Cyrillic script.
