Inspired by food from the sea this hand carved linoprint of three prawns in a circular motion is hand printed onto beautiful Japanese textured paper. The prawns are a deep red colour and sit over a second layer of silver carved marks resembling the waves and sea.
Made as part of a Women, Art & Food exhibition in 2016 this print forms part of a trilogy of prints and would sit so well in a kitchen or dining room setting. The other two prints are of oyster shells and a blue sea crab.
The inks I used are long wearing oil based inks which will last a lifetime without fading. Each print comes supplied with a wide square shaped window mount and will fit a 50 x 50 standard picture frame.
This print is part of a small edition of 5. You will receive a numbered and signed print indicating which number of the edition you have bought.
