Artist's description:

This has always been one of my most popular images when sold privately, I am now very happy to be able to offer it through ArtFinder. I shot this back in 2011 during the Ottawa Tulip Festival, which if you have never been to, you should go. The displays are incredible and it is an artists and photographers dream.
When I am working, you generally won't find me with the crowd of other photographers, but rather away on my own looking for something others may have seen.
Thus, that is how this picture came to be. The tulips are lit because they are backlit by the sun. I'm sure there was probably one or more other photographers wondering why I was laying on the grass shooting towards the sun, but this is the reason why.
