This work is a result of my collaboration with my teacher Cliff Holden.
It began life as a series of drawings (charcoal on paper) which Cliff made of himself.
I used a photocopier to layer these drawings on top of each other then I began to make a drawing on a board of the resulting image.
You can still see how the acrylic paint has been washed back to show these marks.
Cliff came into the studio (Hässlås Målarskola) and showed me how to wash back the paint.
Because Cliff made this final action on the painting and because he made the original drawings - this painting/drawing has now been purchased and exhibited by the Sarah Rose Collection at the Borough Road Gallery (LSBU) with his name attributed to the work.
The print I am offering for sale here is a unique digital art print on paper (signed on the back by me with a certificate of authentication).
It is not a photographic reproduction of the original work. It is an original work in its own right.
If you would like to know more about my working methods please contact me by email and I would be happy to explain.
