Artist's description:

I was inspired for this piece by my daughter when she was still a toddler. Her eyes were very expressive, in fact toddler's look tells what they can't express with words, so for a figurative painter is very challenging to capture a hint of their mood. It is like body language brought to the blank canvas.
I chose a head portrait in order to enhance her facial features, especially eyes and mouth, resulting in the focal point. She is looking directly at the viewer, maybe with a glimpse of self-confidence, and her mouth is slightly open. As a result the figure seems to want to speak. There is a illusion of communication here.
The pale suit remembers the young age of the subject portrayed.
