This is a portrait of a young lady inspired by an old daguerreotype from 1840. I was attracted by her lively brown eyes and a solemn expression on her face. Probably she was told to sit still to take a photo and the girl is trying very hard.

This watercolours painting was hand-painted using professional Winsor&Newton watercolors and 300g/m2 watercolor paper.
