Using the monoprint technique, this is a one-off, original landscape showing fields of poppy flowers. Vibrant and contemporary, this is such a typical British landscape and so reminiscent of summer. Poppies are symbols of remembrance, and evocative of spring coming into a bleak and barren wintry landscape.
Layers of acrylic colours are build up and the interplay of colours and textures are used to create an almost three dimensional artwork. Bright reds and pinks, light and dark blue, and greens, colours are overlaid with iridescent violet to give a rich feel to this handmade print. This is a unique one of a kind artwork, and only one exists.
Difficult to represent the true colours and the textural aspect of this print on screen which gives it a somewhat 3-d look. It will brighten up any living space and can be hung on its own or as part of a group of landscapes.
It will come titled and signed on the front, and will be sent personally hand-wrapped carefully in acid-free tissue paper and packaged in a hardback envelope for maximum safety.
Made using high quality Winsor and Newton colours on heavyweight 350 gsm acid-free Fabriano paper.
