This is an original painting of the poppy field in the Georgian countryside. In June of 2016 our friends, my wife and I went for a hike and a picnic in the mountains. After a couple hours of hiking, we found that beautiful poppy field in the foot of the mountain range, and were about to proceed with the lunch. All of a sudden, the sky became very tense and full of heavy clouds, the sun disappeared. It was obvious that the thunderstorm would commence very soon. Our friends packed and left, but we stayed since I couldn't miss the triple beauty of the poppy field, pearlescent pre-storm sky and blue mountains. The storm was procrastinating to start as if was waiting for me to capture the splendor of the field before its poppies are ruined by the storm. I was finishing when the first drops hit the poppies. I hope that the viewer can feel my awe of the greatness of nature. Painted on a gallery wrapped canvas with the edges painted white, it will be rolled in a tube. Alternatively I can send it stretched, but due to the size, it might be more secure to send in a sturdy tube. The painting is signed in front with my initials in Georgian "Z" "Sh" (ზ.შ.).
Thank you for your interest in my work.
