It was a fog autumn morning. I was walking to my atelier, to give my paintings lessons. I was with my paintbrushes and I made there a rapid sketch. Then, in my atelier I have painted this work, but the poplars appeared violet, cobal violet. I mean, the yellow tones of autumn were demanding their complementary color from me.
Van Gogh inspired me.
