Artist's description:

Pomegranates are one of my favourite fruits, the redder the better. I love eating them as is and also in juices. I have never got around to painting them however, because they are very rare in Germany. They are hardly available and are very expensive too. When I was in India last month visiting family, abundant quantities of pomegranates were consumed and a couple of them just had to be painted. I set them up against a vessel from my mom's kitchen on her kitchen counter, and was inspired by the reflections in the metal.

This original painting comes unframed, and I will be very glad to offer you framing suggestions. The painting will look great when combined with its companion piece. They would have a great presence in your kitchen.

Materials used:

wooden panel, gesso, oil paints
