Artist's description:

After vacationing in the Polynesian Islands, I grew especially fond of their traditional dancing. While painting these I could almost hear the fast beat of the drums while watching the fire dancer work the flaming torch around his body while the girl's hips sway in time with the beat.

The process and technique in creating my artworks starts with the result of my own experiences and observations. Throughout the years, as an artist, I have learned to see what is around me, then take those observations and manipulate their elements to the end of creating a work of art. I apply what is deep within myself to my work in order to create a work representative of my interpretation of the world. I will often take the essence of reality and bring it a step further, using fantasy to the extent that it will enhance my final work. - Varo
