The latest in my series of paintings of Polperro in Cornwall. This is the village where I was born and grew up. This view shows the small jetty where I used to go crabbing, the fish market and the phone box.
On canvas, built up in layers and painted with both brushes and palette knife. Some texture to suggest the old walls of the cottage. I've included a lifebuoy to suggest the idea of safety and the orange buoys in the harbour are waiting for the small boats to return with the catch. The painting is varnished to protect it, the sides are painted white and it's strung and ready to hang. I've signed the back and it will be sent with a certificate of authenticity.
