Soaking up the spirit of the Atlantic coast, I made this painting 'en plein air' on a hidden rocky cove that we had to ourselves on a sunny, blustery morning in October.
I have used washes of acrylic, oil pastels, ink, scribbled pencil notes and even sand off the beach to capture the fast changing scene. Back in the studio the painting was given a coat of varnish to protect it.
It is painted on to a canvas covered panel and I have put it into a recycled frame painted white.
