Original artwork description:

I've always really loved cryptogamae - mosses, ferns, algae, lichens, and fungi - as numerous superstitions existed in the past and these obscure flower- and seedless organisms were associated with the fairies. In the german folklore there is a fairy folk named moss people. These dwarf-like, grey, old-looking, hairy creatures are clad in moss and are known to have an intimate connection to trees and the forest.

You will receive this artwork framed and "ready to hang". The standard frame colour is black, but futher colours/types of wood are available (mahogany, abachi, varnished white); all are made of wood from sustainable forestry. If you would like to have one of the other frames (not the standard black), please send me a message after your purchase.
