Artwork description:

During the 19th century, the plague reached epidemic proportions in London. Plague Doctors were sent out to quarantine affected individuals; however some of the affected individuals refused to believe they are already dead so they attempt to escape from the quarantine booth. They spread the news via phone no quicker than the spreading of the plague itself. Standing on the London’s iconic telephone phone kiosk panel is stretcher or death bed.

This three-dimensional artwork incorporates some of my motifs, such as metallic angels, humans, pilots, astronauts, and various figures with a surrealist twist. They meticulously replicate architectural elements and their relationships to the surrounding landscape. Some elements are drawn in perspective, incorporating architectural elements into the artist's impression.

Stretched canvas includes lightweight and premium grade 1.5” thick wood, wired-ready to hang, and felt pads for wall protection. The printing method is Giclée with Pigment Ink on 410g/m2 Premium Fine Art Matte Canvas.

Materials used:

gallery-wrapped canvas 1.5 thick, printed with pigment ink on 410g/m2 premium fine art matte canvas.
