The reclining posture may represent the Buddha resting or sleeping, but more usually represents the mahâparinabbâna: the Buddha's final state of enlightenment before his death and occasionally ministering to his followers just before his death. Done in Hues of red and accents of green this image of the buddha does well to capture his spirituality.
