Artist's description:

I visited some friends on a small farm who let me I draw their pigs. Mangalitzas are European curly-haired hogs, descended from wild boar They are big and very, very hairy. This makes them hard to draw in any detail but they do lend themselves to my very scribbly style.

This is a linocut I did from my original drawings. It captures the constant movement of the pigs as they snuffle around in the woodland. It also shows the scrappy outline of their rough, curly coats.

Materials used:

Oil pigment onto Zercoll paper.

Piggah (2013)
