Beyond any subject or aspect of painting, there is, in the practice of an artist, an underground wire that guides and marks every production. In these new works I have laid bare the dominant leitmotif cleaning up my language from any narrative layering. Compared to my work on the contemporary landscape, I’ve worked on in recent years, the figurative element has gradually lost its recognition, slipping from the surface to reveal places of the mind in balance between the figurative and the abstract, that look different to every glance. There is no trace of any place, meaning and suggestion, but only the network that underlies these elements, with its connections. It is no coincidence that this body of work is simply entitle “Link”.
