Original artwork description:

Penelope is thoughtful, pensive, and I think she is waiting. For Odysseus? Maybe. For a baby? Possibly. For someone to tell her story? Certainly. She has a wonderful calm and patient presence and will enhance any display location.

Penelope is built as a hollow form (so she is not too heavy) in paperclay which is fired at stoneware temperature, so she could stand outside or inside. She has a beautiful textured surface and blue slip with copper oxide as a finish. She will need a crate for transport which I can organise.

Materials used:

Paperclay with slips and oxides.
