Pen painting Behind the prophet Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov

"Behind the Prophet" is a captivating portrait that exudes a sense of intrigue and mystery. The painting, rendered entirely in shades of black and white, skillfully captures a poignant moment in time. The central focus of the composition is the prophet, positioned at the forefront with an aura of wisdom and compassion surrounding him. The prophet stands tall and commanding, emanating a serene presence amidst a gathering of people who have sought his guidance and assistance. His visage reflects a profound understanding of the human condition, as lines of wisdom etch across his face, revealing a life rich with experience and insight. His eyes, filled with empathy and understanding, gaze intently, seemingly piercing through the canvas to touch the hearts of those who behold the painting. The individuals surrounding the prophet represent a diverse cross-section of humanity. Each person's face tells a unique story, etched with trials and tribulations, hopes and fears. Some bear expressions of deep sorrow, seeking solace and answers. Others display glimmers of hope, their eyes reflecting a yearning for guidance and healing. The artist masterfully captures the emotions of each individual, bringing them to life on the canvas. The atmosphere surrounding the prophet and the people is one of solemnity and reverence. The backdrop is a stark yet evocative setting, devoid of any distractions, emphasizing the gravity of the moment. The absence of color serves to intensify the emotions and allows the viewer to focus solely on the intricacies of the scene. The play of light and shadow adds depth and dimension, enhancing the realism of the painting. Throughout the composition, fine details are meticulously rendered, showcasing the artist's skilled hand and attention to texture. From the intricate folds of the prophet's garments to the weathered lines on each face, every element contributes to the overall narrative of the painting. "Behind the Prophet" captures a poignant glimpse into the lives of those who seek guidance and solace from a revered figure. It invites viewers to contemplate the human condition, the yearning for meaning and the search for answers in the face of adversity. This remarkable portrait stands as a testament to the power of art to evoke emotions and provoke introspection, inviting us to reflect on our own journey towards understanding and enlightenment.

About the artists: Alexander Arkadievich Litvinov was born on May 18, 1967 in the city of Lubny. He graduated from the Lubensk secondary school № 1. One of his favorite lessons was drawing. I was even more attracted by studies at an art school, where boys and girls were introduced to high art thanks to the wise teachers Vasily Semenyuta, Anatoly Kharchuk, Nikolai Korablev, Tamara Moshnikoviy. Especially in his artistic development, Alexander owes to Vasily Ivanovich Semenyuta, his classical school of teaching, which he enriched in his time through his acquaintance with famous artists Alexei Asaulenko and Petr Likhin. And also an extremely important role in the passion for painting was played by the fact that Alexander's father, Arkady Petrovich Litvinov, was both a talented artist and an excellent teacher. He had 53 years of teaching experience - he taught drawing and drawing at the Lubensk school №8, many of his students connected their professions with artistic creativity. Alexander's elder brother, Oleg Arkadyevich Litvinov, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, now lives in Odessa, also chose the artistic path.

And after leaving school, Alexander served in the army, where his artistic talent came in handy - in Soviet times, visual agitation was highly valued. He served in Dnepropetrovsk, where two personal exhibitions of his paintings were organized. While still at school, Alexander began to design books, in particular, children's literature. He received his first creative fee in the tenth grade from the publishing house "Raduga" for the design of the book by Anatoly Rybakov "Krosh's Vacation". Later she studied at the Odessa Theater and Art School, specializing in "Decoration of puppet shows and artistic and props art."

Studying at the school and passion from childhood with historical and biblical literature greatly influenced the creative manner of the artist. He works in the style of the so-called figurative art, where the main thing is the image of the human body.
