Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by a holiday to the ski resort of Chamonix a few years ago. The Aiguille du Dru is part of Mont Blanc Massif and is nearly 4000 metres tall. I saw many cyclists in the region and imagined them riding beneath this epic peak. The painting is varnished & signed, is strung on the reverse and is ready to hang. I use water soluble oil paints which are environmentally friendly, but still retain their deep rich colour. I only use professional quality artist’s canvas.
The painting is part of a series of artworks on the theme of cycling. I am a keen cyclist and enjoy combining my passions of cycling and art.
I hope that this painting will appeal to my fellow cyclists, wherever they may be in the world and that it also may inspire non-cyclists to take to two wheels!
I also believe that this painting would make a fabulous gift for a friend or relative who is a bicycle enthusiast.
Thank you for taking the time to view this artwork of mine and happy cycling!
This artwork is painted on deep-edged canvas and therefore does not require a frame and is ready to hang.
