Artist's description:

Mounted Woodcut print of a tree on Muggleswick Moor Northumberland which stood like a sentinel over the abandoned farmhouse. I went looking for Pedams Oak but found this Sycamore instead. Maybe Pedams Oak is still out there!

As the farmhouse slowly sank back into the earth, so the tree was shedding its skin to reveal strange markings.

The story of Pedams Oak is that Pedam was a horse thief and to evade capture he hid in an ancient oak. There is a farmhouse and wood named after him too! Google it and you will see!
