Original artwork description:

This artwork is inspired by many things!! A famous japanese artist who's name I don't remember ( pardon my ignorance!) painted cockerels, I saw it at an exhibition in the 1980s ( revealing my age lol) it blew me away! ) very beautiful and observant yet highly decorative. Also influenced by , yes you guessed it chickens!!! Watch them together and there is a definite order in their lives, A pecking order! And lastly but most bizarrely the House of Commons. Everybody is trying to assert themselves ,strutting and poking their chests out but hopefully not cocka doodling! This is sold but I would definitely consider doing a comission. Please enquire
It is painted on to rough hessian using layers of built up rabbit skin gesso. This is then painted with inks, oils, 23 carat gold leaf, moon gold, red gold, platinum and silver leaf. All the real thing!

Materials used:

Hessian, rabbit skin glue, whiting, 23 carat gold, moon gold, red gold, platinum,
